If I Don’t Bring A Lawyer Can I Bring Someone To Help Assist Me

Yes, if there is no objection from the other party. As with lawyer, your mediation assistant is present to help you fully understand what takes place and what is discussed in the mediation session. Your mediation representative (lawyer or non-lawyer) does not speak for you. Mediation is not court. Each party must present their own ‘case’ and clearly define their position and interests.
